Though the city of Pune has multiple bridges crossing over the river Mula-Mutha, the potential for these bridges to become a vibrant public space has never been challenged or studied in depth. The project to ‘Rejuvenate Rajaram Bridge’ was a deliberate attempt to introduce public space along the bridge which would then connect the history and forgotten and side lined traditional spaces with the daily life of the city.
